Let’s go on an adventure without leaving the comfort of NYC! To whet your palate, you’ll be welcomed into the event with a custom cocktail featuring Hudson Valley Shiso Farm’s Red and Green Shiso Syrup™. Aki Snyder ’11 and her family will introduce us to the unique, sweetened botanical flavor of shiso.

Then, we’ll move into the main event! Thanks to the generous donation of Nicole Huynh ’06 and her partner, Mike Randolph, they will guide our group on a tour of craft beer ranging in styles from classic Belgian Lambics to English Barleywines, and everything in between. You’ll be presented with a selection of at least 10 different craft beers, and we’ll discuss the flavors of each beer, their aroma, what makes them unique, and what happens to beer as it ages. (Yes, some really can!)

Join us for summer cocktails and meet our new Senior Associate Director for Alumnae Career Services, Becky Ross. We’ll share some exciting new career services programs launching this year and welcome your ideas for future programs and events.

Co-hosted by the Bryn Mawr Club of New York and LILAC | Career and Professional Development.

Becky will also be offering one-hour 1:1 coaching appointments on August 15-16. These sessions can cover a range of topics including job search and networking strategies, work/life balance, re-entering the workforce, shifting your focus in work, or other related career concerns. Appointments will be held at her hotel and are filled on a first come, first serve basis.

Ashley Gavin is a New York based, nationally touring comedian. Her comedy has been featured on Hulu, FOX, AXS TV, SiriusXM Comedy, and more. Ashley is best known for her hard-hitting, intelligent, and sometimes absurd social commentary about feminism, gender, sexuality, class and more.

Emma Willman (Simmons ‘08) made her Network TV debut last year on The Stephen Colbert show and has since then taken the world by storm performing on an upcoming Netflix special and starring on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend on The CW. Emma discusses her upbringing in a rural town in Maine, living with dyslexia, and experiences as a gay woman.
